Arts Education
Take Root's Arts Education Impact Program empowers children of all ages by using creativity, movement, and music as tools for personal growth, confidence, leadership, and social-emotional development. Through a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment, the program encourages students to explore movement through guided improvisation and creative experiences that foster communication, collaboration, self-expression, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

In partnership with Center for Success, the Arts Education Impact Program provides enrichment classes for children in both Pontiac and Detroit, expanding access to high-quality arts education in underserved communities. Take Root also collaborates with Detroit Public Schools and the Detroit Opera House through the Dance Is for Everyone Initiative, bringing meaningful dance experiences to schools throughout Detroit.
In addition to working directly with students, the program partners with Detroit Public Schools educators by providing professional development, workshops, and classroom strategies tailored to the unique needs of their school communities. These collaborative efforts equip teachers with creative, movement-based tools that support student engagement, learning, and overall well-being.
